Eight billion monopolies
The Saturday Cha
We spend 8 hours a day at work.
The reward for good work is more work and more responsibilities.
With this comes more stress - of dealing with other stressed out people running the rat race.
Like vampires, the jerks in every team sap the life out of you.
Employee engagement is at an all time - low.
Health and relationships take a back seat - in the endless pursuit of money, power and the next promotion.
A promotion is a 15% hike (maybe), with 50% more stress AND less time for yourself & your loved ones.
Lifestyle creep is real - we overcompensate by upgrading phones, cars and houses to please an imaginary “society” and show our “status”.
Your rate of lifestyle growth outpaces your income.
Throw into this mix a couple of hours of commute to the office daily in polluted, crowded and unlivable cities.
Less time for ourselves, less time with loved ones, increased stress, poor health.
This whole system is broken.
What if you could spend more time with loved ones, get more time for your hobbies and make a living out of it? This is a more sustainable way of living.
The purpose of life is to experience things for which you will later experience nostalgia.
We have just one life - I think most of us do not realize this.
Most of us are running on a never- ending race for an imaginary “tomorrow” - will it arrive?
The Internet enables eight billion monopolies.
I love to read. I love to write. I get high when my curiosity leads me to the hidden crevices of knowledge. I love being the guinea pig and experimenting. I love sharing what I know.
And thus The Saturday Cha is born 🙂
